North American Premiere with Seattle Symphony

Esther Yoo made a memorable debut with the Seattle Symphony conducted by Alexander Shelley at Benaroya Hall this April. The three concerts featured the North American premiere of Raymond Yiu’s violin concerto, a work written for her.

According to Sean Fan of The Daily, “Yoo’s performance was that she truly made the music and the virtuoso sound meld into one… It’s the first time where I found modern music to be emotionally transporting, the substantive legacy of two cultures swirling together to become one balanced whole.”
